Ready or not in At the foot of the hill

Christmas is this week!!! And while we wait, we also wait to hear from my cancer team as they try to pull the whole plan together. The holidays are not making planning any easier. I will have to make one more overnight trip so they can get one more CT scan that they will use for a “map” as they plan my radiation treatment.
That could happen the first of next week. Then one week later we begin with chemo once a week for 5 weeks and radiation 5 days a week for 5 weeks. After that they want to do a newer treatment called immunotherapy which they say is working miracles.
We will be staying in the city for the duration. The “team” is arranging lodging close by the hospital for us. I call it going south for the winter....
