Quit it with the spoilers... you bitches. in Adventures in paradise

I headed down the Goldy last night to catch up with my friend Brent. I catch the train down to Helensvale and he picks me up from there and we go to his. We usually stop off at the supermarket to grab some TV snacks and then we pretty much put a movie on, eat and chat. It's good fun and always a good catch up. He celebrated his 31st last week, so he's older than me again haha. He asked if I'd seen the movie "Mermaids" and when I said I hadn't, he was shocked, so obviously we had to watch that. I thought it was an okay movie, but I wasn't amazed by it like he is. I was more surprised it was a 1990 movie, as 'Ghost' (One of my favourite movies) was filmed that year also. The trips there always seem to be really short however, and I'm used to it. I had a good nights sleep there for the first time in a while, and I already had my shoes on ready to go after breakfast. I predicted it well, as he asked he could take me to the station. I was like 'Yeah sure.' Even the train trips there and back seemed speedy. I like those trips. I hate it feels like time is dragging.

Avoiding social media has been annoying the past few weeks. Last weekend, I avoided it so that no-one would POST who the winner of Eurovision was. I did well to avoid it. Yesterday, I had a similar situation as the finale of RuPaul's Drag Race had aired in the USA, but the torrent hadn't yet showed up until the following morning. Brent said he knew who it was as he couldn't avoid it on facebook, because let's face it, gay guys CANNOT help themselves or will deliberately spoil it for everyone else. I actually read about a week ago that they actually filmed three different parts of each of the three finalists winning, so that no-one would actually spoil it before it aired. Not sure how true that is. Anyway, when I woke up this morning, Brent said he was downloading it, so I got to watch it this morning yay!! I won't give it away here on the off-chance that someone reading this actually watches it and doesn't know the winner yet :)

Tonight I'm apparently going over to Vish and James for dinner, but annoying I agreed to work tonight, so I have to leave before 8pm. Annoying moreso in the sense that I was meant to be free to hang out with them, but I really need to take on this shift. I actually had to transfer money on my phone from my savings whilst on the train home this morning, so I can afford rent this week. I'm not in any trouble or anything, I just kind of had a feeling I may have not gotten paid enough last week to cover my rent, and I was right, so I've covered my arse for when it comes out of my account on Friday. Just annoying because I haven't had to do that before, which makes me think more about maybe being offered more work soon. But I just don't know yet, so I can't jump to conclusions.

Kind of looking forward to having a night off to myself tomorrow night now, but if I'm offered work again (like tonight), of course I'll accept it.
