After son Mike and Jeri went away and my getting the report from the doctor on my tests in Billings the week before, I was almost in a trance on Thanksgiving Day. Bob and I drove out to Rhonda & Mitch’s late morning in time to watch the traditional football. I napped a lot while Rhonda cooked. Little great grandson was there as his mom the nurse had duty at the hospital. He wasn’t feeling very good and slept right through dinner. Only the 4 of us at the table and the food was great… Not only was the pumpkin pie made from scratch, the pumpkin itself was home-grown.... We were entertained throughout the day by 3 deer (a young buck and two does) who were hanging out in the back yard.
Because the deer are so prevalent here this time of year, we wanted to get home before dark but it gets dark really early. We made it safely and went to bed shortly!
Friday was a better day for me. I felt good and got a lot done towards putting the apartment in order. About all that’s left to do now is hang pictures and curtains and send a few boxes back out to Rhonda’s for storage.
Tomorrow we head back to Billings for two days of more tests and some surgery. Soon, we will have to make some hard decisions… (Yes, this is a prayer request).
