This is another book by the author of The Glass Castle... a very popular, very saddening memoir.

This one, called by the author a true-life novel, is about her grandmother's life. It's much more uplifting, more joyous. People who lived on the land, and learned who they were by what they would and wouldn't do.

The writing is excellent; it's a fast read.
