It is just past dawn here in Big Sky Country. It’s overcast and frosty. We’ve been camped here at our daughter’s place for seven weeks today. I have been amazed at the aforesaid Big Sky day after day after day. The cloud patterns and the colors just blow me away…
Bob continues to improve and is looking forward to his next appointment at PT. Last Tuesday we both visited our new dermatologist in Billings. She comes to Glasgow a couple of times a month, but wanted to have the initial contact there. She happily declared me free of skin cancer. Bob not so much. She froze a couple of spots and biopsied a couple more. The report wasn’t good and now he will have to go back to Billings and have surgery. They will call to schedule that. The plan is for our son-in-law to take him down.
The “kids” were out hunting yesterday and now have two antelope to process today. It’s the way of life here..
And Saturday WE MOVE! Much as we love being here, everybody is looking forward to the next step. Daughter has done so much to handle the details, first finding the apartment and then making all the arrangements for utilities, etc. They have lined up friends to help with the move itself and expect it to take only a few hours to get us all in. Getting settled will take more time, but what else do we have to do (between doctor appointments, that is.)
We enjoy getting to see our 3-year-old great grandson several times a week. He’s quite the little man. He starts hockey this coming week. Three tries and he can walk with ice skates on. Don’t know how he’ll do on the ice.
I’ve had a pesky head cold for a couple of days… or else it’s an after effect of the Covid booster I got in Billings. Better today.
