Goodbye mommobile in Bittersweet

We traded in our Acadia today. We got a car we were not expecting haha. A Hyundai Santa fe, fully loaded in calypso red. It has some nifty features. Like my phone is also my car key. It can back itself in and out of a parking space. All sorts of proximity sensors for driving and not.
My phone is a key to unlock it. Like i dont even need my car keys now that my phone is set up!
It drives so nice! So many cool features. We will have to take two vehicles when we want to all go places but we do that so often anyways! It gets better gas mileage. Im pretty stoked. lol. And the red is awesome. I love red cars. Maybe ill wear a black and red outfit to work on Monday to match lol. Yeah im a nut. I picked up some baskets in the back seat, but they are a hair too big. Which figures. It has a ton of storage in the back. Two hidden compartments. One has three dividers in it. I put my jumper cables, and spare dog snacks and water bowl in there for now. The single compartment i put my first aid kits and hazard safety gear. Ill probably also get a gallon of water in there. It can freeze in winter and be fine in summer. But extra water. Then a cargo net that either lays flat ( and you stuff stuff under) or vertical envelope mode with pockets in it haha.

It was really bittersweet leaving my acadia at the dealership. It was my first new car. Its only 6 years old. They offered us 16000 trade in on it. We owed under 6K. Now that bill is off my husbands credit/name and will make our refinancing of the house easier. My name is the only one on my Cherry car. But I cleaned out my acadia this morning and felt really sad and bittersweet too. I had a moment. Its been such a good car for me, and its in excellent shape really. New tires, new entertainment system, upgraded auto start, trailer hitch. All those fun things that factored into our trade and now I have a red suv which Ive always wanted lol. Im just starting to unpack my crap into the new car lol.

So wow. I just did this… Its literally in only my name. Its just mine. So crazy.

My kids costumes are in. L and Ch are being shadows and A is being a cop. We are going to do the zoo boo next weekend and ToT weekend after. Maybe ill get some pumpkins....

Things have just gotten SO much better since we moved. Its amazing… I love my job, love my coworkers, we have a house, new cars, like so much is turned around. Its so awesome.
