Food in Help Me Please

is and can be an evil thing if you over eat or under eat. I know this from personal experiences. I have done both. I once at only one meal a day and lots of coffee and I have also eaten all day everyday way too much and felt like a blob. The best way to eat is about 500 calories at a time and that should cover your food intake. And if you have noticed we often think about what we will be eating at the next meal and that can consume our whole days of thinking and that is not a good thing but we do it all the time. Especially when someone says they are hungry.
I have learned over the years that I can’t eat too much in a day and if I eat breakfast I know I won’t want much dinner so I often don’t eat breakfast but I will eat when I do get hungry and that is about the middle of the afternoon. So I start to eat fruit and by the time I have eaten some of that I feel good. And then my main meal is dinner and I always try to not eat too many carbs. in fact I am finding that I am eating a lot less carbs then I have in recent years and I often do eat them and they end up in the organics. And sometimes eating 6 oz. of protein is too much for me . But it depends on what the protein is…something like steak with some fat on it I can eat the whole thing and chicken with the skin on I eat all of that also. And I have not been using a lot of oil or butter or margarine either because they just add calories and I don’t want them. So I use very little when I do.
I think our time is being wasted on food and we always start thinking about what to eat like 6 hours before it’s even time to start cooking it. But at least we don’t have to spend 6 hours running after what we eat could you imagine?
It’s funny how all of our days we are thinking about food especially around the holidays and then it’s the thinking about it and then the buying it and then the hours cooking it and then the mess you have to clean up and that can take hours. But the good thing is that when you look at the people who ate whatever you cooked they are either satisfied or way too full and have great big huge smiles on their faces and tell you over and over how great the meal was. And once they have said that then you know that you have done your job.
I actually enjoy cooking and baking because I can see what I have created and that is a great sense of pride I have and I know whatever it is that everyone will want more of it.
Onto something else....
My son is supposedly coming tomorrow so today at some point I need to ask him when and for him to bring my containers and bags. And I hope he won’t fall asleep because I find that really rude. And hubby doesn’t like it either. But I am looking forward to seeing him and finding out how his course is going.
