A Day Of Rest? in Help Me Please

I don’t think so because everyday is the same unless it’s your weekend but then you still work around the house to get things done. Is there ever a day or two where we do nothing but have fun? Most days there are the responsibilities we have to do like make sure the children are fed and happy and to make sure the husbands and wife is fed and happy and then comes the stuff that should have been done but we just said tomorrow but tomorrow never comes or does it?
And when we have a long weekend we really don’t go anywhere or do anything that is really fun because of the things that need to get done. I figure the only time we get to do nothing is when we are about to fall asleep but even then we are still thinking and that is why we never have that great sleep.
But it really doesn’t matter what we do in a day as long as we don what we want and we have fun doing it.

Onto something else....

So today there are more football games and the NFL is also playing so that will take care of todays TV viewing but that is okay because at least people will be happy if their team wins.
I can remember when I was a child that it was nothing but football and my dad use to watch it and I was so bored because he wouldn’t play with me or we wouldn’t go anywhere, but then, my dad also watched the Tennis and that was even more boring then the football.
And for dinner tonight we will be having something to do with ground meat. Not sure what yet but it will be a joint thought.

Onto something else....

I have stopped doing on line grocery shopping because it was getting to be too much food in the freezers and fridge so now I will go to the store when there is enough to get. I would much rather spend $100.00 then this piddle $50.00 because then I won’t forget anything and I will follow my list. And knowing hubby he will probably want to come so we can get the best deals possible. We often save somewhere around 30-50% just because of the sale prices and the unit pricing. I am getting better at it but things like meat hubby is still the expert at that. But we have a good time when we shop together and I always try to make people smile. But then after about an hour I just want to go home and take a nap. I know I am getting old but we need to eat and this is the only way to get fed more then once a day.
I have noticed that it’s usually just one person who does the shopping and for the most part they really don’t want to be there they would much rather be somewhere else and I don’t blame them. But the upside is they get what they want and leave so the time factor isn’t as much.
Then there is people like my mom who goes in to the store and gets the one or two things she needs and leave and there is no going up and down the isles. But then there are a lot of isles she doesn’t even go down so that is why she can spend 5 minutes in the store and leave.

Onto something else....

The other day I asked my son if he wants to come for Turkey for Thanksgiving and he told me he needs to see what his schooling is going to be so I told him to let me know either way. And if he doesn’t come hubby and I will be having turkey drumsticks because to cook a whole turkey is just not a great idea. But then he said to cook it and then cut it into smaller portions and give some to my son and we keep some.

Onto something else....
