I feel like N and I have been in a funk lately. He's been taking on more and more responsibility at work and as spring picks up hrs been working 50 hrs a week/OT hours again. Keep in mind OT is above and beyond his yearly salary and his boss pays him very well for it. The extra responsibility he's been taking on is he started doing some light drafting/engineering for his company. They've always sourced that out and paid heavily for it. He's doing some of it in-house. I should mention he knows a lot just doesn't have much practical experience (he studied mechanical engineering in college before he switched to aviation).
In addition to that the guy who runs the show (not his boss, Rick, but ricks VP/production manager/whatever) isn't very good at the business side of it. He sets unreasonable deadlines, has no idea what parts and stuff actually cost, can't order supplies efficiently, ect. He is really good at the basic job and at dealing with customers and all that but has no business sense so N is absorbing a lot of that (creating parts lists and cost spreadsheets, creating a more efficient ordering system).
He's still busy with his flying duties, occasional flight instruction, working at skyways, and lately has started wrenching on his sisters Durango that we went and picked up over New Years.
I'm busy myself, spreading my time between the two regular jobs and other things. This week I worked 16 hrs OT so I didn't get any evenings off. On Sunday I have to work 7-3, 3-11. MTu I work 745-2,3-11, W is 12-545, Th off so I probably have to go to Wtn to visit the fam (I missed Mother's Day and will be in Pierre for my mom and Lore's bday. I feel like if I blink it will be 4th of July already. I think I already mentioned I have to spend half of June at the Law Enforcement Training Academy? I have to live in dorms and eat at a cafeteria and have a roommate and a fucking curfew.
I feel like we are just not jiving lately. We hardly see each other. He works 7-530, I work 745-2, then 3-11 most days. I think we're both just tired and need a few days off. We are both frustrated that the house buying just hasn't been working out either, our original plan was to buy this spring. Now it's next spring. The longer it takes the more we are prepared. The more money we have saved, the more houses we have looked at, the more books we have read.
Somedays life is frustrating. Some months. Years. Lol Sarah

You're busy, ambitious people. Good luck. Be patient with one another. As Mary Goltz says, 'Be good to each other.'

Funks are the worst. :( You both sound like you need some serious quality time together, I hope that happens soon. Do you have anything planned? If you don't then maybe you should plan something.
Also, I agree with the waiting on the house thing - you will have more saved up and be more prepared but good lord the waiting part sucks.
