Quarantine Day 1 in The day to day

Welp, A may have tested negative for COVID on Tuesday but we had a kid and a staff member at work test positive and he was in contact with both of them 48 hrs prior to testing positive. So now he has to quarantine. I had to call his school and let them know. They sent me a link to the school NTI stuff. We just did his first live class on Google Meet. He was an emotional wreck. Didn’t want to present his drawing that he was supposed to do. None of the other kids seemed to have an issue. We have to turn everything in to the teacher when he comes out of quarantine.

Now I am having an argument with him because he wants to go outside and play, which is fine right now because none of the other kids are at home. He keeps insisting they are and I told him if they were he couldn’t play with them because he is in quarantine. This is going to be a fun week and a half.

Then our chocolate lab has been having some skin issues. She has been going in her kennel and rubbing her butt up against it to scratch herself. There’s no fleas so I’m thinking it’s a food issue and will probably have to change their food. In the meantime, I gave her a bath with some medicated shampoo. That was fun wrestling a 90 lb dog by myself into the bathtub and keeping her there. She got out before I was done and I had to wrangle a wet dog back into the tub. Finally got it done. I hope it gives her some relief.

A has another live class at 1 pm. We’ll see how that goes. Then we’ll be picking up B from school and coming back home. I guess grocery shopping this weekend will be doing an order and having them bring it to my car. I haven’t ever done that. I prefer going to the store and browsing the aisles in case I forgot to add something to my list or if I see something on sale that I can go ahead and grab. Either way this will be a new experience for me.

Fingers crossed the rest of the day goes well. I am kind of sad that we ended up having to quarantine because B and I were looking forward to going to the movies this weekend to see Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. We are both big Marvel fans. And of course Disney+ decided not to add it to the premier access so that’s not even an option. Guess it will have to wait until we are out of quarantine!
