Still loving roller derby, still hating work. Last night in roller derby, I had my first go at racing and also a bit of blocking and jamming! I was terrified but I think I did quite well. I like how everyone is all in the same class, from absolute beginners to experts who've been doing it for years. Because everyone's so nice, they don't mind if you're going round at snail's pace and getting in their way, and everyone gives tips and helps out if they can. We had a team racing event, I was at the back and the person at the front said afterwards that she kept looking back to make sure I wasn't being left behind, and she was amazed that I managed to keep up with them all for the entire 15 laps. smug mode on

On Saturday we're going to watch my team play a bout, the first game I've seen! So I'm looking forward to seeing them in action.

Tomorrow me and Jay are going to Nottingham for my friend David's birthday.

I keep finding things out about my friends from reading cryptic messages between people on Facebook. Apparently David and Lindy have split up, only two years after they got married, and he has a new girlfriend. I found out when I saw photos of David holding hands with someone so I asked someone else to fill me in.

Also, my friend Luke is no longer Luke, he's now called Sara. When did this happen and why did no one tell me? Sara has a new profile account with Everyone From Loughborough added as a friend, but not me! I'm a bit miffed, me and Luke were quite close when I lived in Loughborough, but now no one even feels the need to inform me that he's changed identity. I had no idea that he even felt inclined in the female direction.

Oh I know I live 50 miles away, but I still go to every event that I can, it upsets me that big things happen in people's lives and they don't include me :o(

On the plus side, Charlie and Luke (a different Luke) have invited us to their wedding next July in Devon. It's 200 miles away! So I suggested to Jay that we make a holiday of it, maybe spend a few days on the coast to make it worth the journey. I've never been to Devon before so that'll be nice.

I realise there are a lot of names in there and you probably have no idea who any of them are, I'm just rambling.

72 working days remaining
