Visits and mattresses in A Day in the Life of Me

Welp, had C’s oldest here for 4 days this week to do his radiation treatments, while she stayed home and delt with the meltdown that is her family business. They got mega slammed while shes been here, one person quit, and another got fired.
Started with her texting me mid week last week while she was still here, saying she was gonna have to ship him up here solo, so that she could deal with work, and would I pop in to the hotel daily to check in on him, give him some comapny, make sure he was eating etc.
Turned into me basically saying, why not we just take him in? Save on hotel/food costs and give her (and us) peace of mind.
Happened to mention that if only i had already had the second mattress and the living room rearranged, they could have been staying here, bunked on the day bed all this time....
WELLLLL Guess who now has the second mattress… lol
She purchased one for me, as a thank you for taking him in for the week, and getting him to and from his appointments.
She TRIED to buy me one at Costco last week the day after we arranged it all when I went in with her, but I felt they were WAY to expensive (almost $200) plus they were more the actuall BED mattresses, not the one for a pull out Ikea daybed.
SOOOO a little while later that night when she was back to the hotel, she had been online at Ikea and found the basic one I was looking for and ordered it for me! Arrived today!!! So stoked.. this thing was comfortable before, but now with the second mattress on it, its sooooooooooo much more lol. Even Nads was in today and sat on in she even said so lol
Don’t know if I mentioned my Dragon that I made sold in less then 24hrs… Was such a hectic time here from sunday to yesterday morning, I haven’t really updated, but yea, he’s gone, and I msg’d the buyer today to make sure he arrived alright and he did.
Also yesterday was our 7th wedding anniversary. D had to work, and it was hella hot here, so no going out, and no fancy dinner cooked, also I was up at early 0’clock cause C’s son had to be to his last appointment for the week at 8am and then he had a friend picking him up by 9am to drive him home.
He got me a giftcard to go get my hair done, and then he bought me a book I found called “Digital photography complete course - evertything you need to know in 20 weeks” its basically an work book, so hopefully it helps me get better, with out having to spend the $1000+ dollars on a course that i can’t justify right now, nor that I really have.
I got him a couple shirts and a hat, and a bar of soap he really likes from lush. Then yesterday when he went to work I went with him, just to go pick up a few cans of food for the kitties, and picked up a little blackforest cake too. We might go out for a nice meal sunday. See how things go.
Today, I picked up two small fans, as we are in a heat wave, and he and the cats suffer worse then I do. One is set up in the bedroom, there’s a bigger one in the den I bought a couple years ago, and the second one I put away as a spare.
N wanted to go to one of the out of the way (for us anyway) cheaper little meat markets, so we did that, and when I was out earlier, I picked up stuff for cold plates for supper.
That’s pretty much been my week.
In and out of the hospital for Boyos’ appointments and just chilling at home after. Keeping him entertained to a point, and fed.
