My mind is such a slut sometimes in Adventures in paradise

I had a good night at work tonight. When I got there, the staffroom table was covered in chopping board and various healthy food items, including beetroot, cabbage, pear and carrot. There was also greek yoghurt, feta cheese, extra-virgin olive oil and English mustard. A TV was also on the counter. As I signed on, our store manager called all of the nightfill staff to the lunchroom and explained what was going on. Apparently the company is going on a joint-venture with Jamie Oliver. I assume you'll all know who that is haha. So every single store in Australia is now stocking his products and is having a fresh food day sometime soon where kids can make their own healthy foods etc. I think it's Friday. So what WE had to do, was make a healthy wrap out of the ingredients provided. There was 8 of us on, so everyone paired up. Of course, I happened to get paired up with Rhys, who is the guy I constantly try not to get caught perving on each Monday I work (I only work with him one shift a week), so I wasn't complaining when he joined up with me.

We grated everything up and put everything into the bowl. Ours turned out pretty good. Man, beetroot is so messy though. Obviously we had gloves on, but even so. We made our own dressing also, and Rhys shook the heck out of the container, so much that I thought it was gonna end up all over me before my shift even started haha. I shook it heaps too. Ours turned out pretty good. Rhys did the wraps though because I was sure I'd stuff it up haha.

We then had to eat our creations. Ours was yummy! Rhys actually made some more to eat after we were done, as we had heaps of mixture left over. He's also started going to the gym upstairs with the other boys. Marty seems to be trying to recruit everyone haha, as he's the resident gym-bunny at work. I know Rhys hasn't been going long, but man, I swear he was looking good beneath his shirt. Probably just wishful thinking on my part, since I do look at him a fair bit anyway haha. Unfortunately however, I am the only gay guy in my entire department. Quite a contrast to back in 2007 when at least 30-40% of the store was gay guys haha. I kept thinking naughty, inappropriate thoughts about him as I worked and he was in the aisle over from me. My mind is such a slut sometimes.

My new housemate seems to be just as much of a night-owl as I am. I keep hearing him coming downstairs anywhere between midnight and 4am. It's not a bad thing at all. I get the feeling he must be a gamer and spends a fair bit of time doing that. A lot of my workmates are gamers too, which I guess helps explain why they work a night job. I've never really been a gamer. The only games I play are Songpop and, more recently, Simpsons Tapped Out. And let's face it, they are pretty tame games. My housemate does however also play Tapped Out, so it's cool seeing him visit my game, and I do his. He does talk to me, but not really as well. Maybe we just don't connect as much as I want us to. My problem has always been that I feel I want to be friends with my housemates, and not just see them as just housemates who avoid each other. That is the worst and it saddens me a little.

Bradley is considering moving back in here, as he doesn't like his new place so much. It'll be totally up to my landlord if that happens however, and he'll have to save up his bond again. I asked my housemate if he'd mind living with him, and he said not at all. They apparently went on a date together recently, so that surprised me. Bradley said it was just as friends, but my housemate specifically used the word 'date'. I was taken aback that's for sure! I told my housemate that I knew Bradley thought he was hot (which he totally is), but he reckons they just hung out and each went their separate ways. Bradley did say to me that my housemate said I apparently bring home a lot of guys. LOL! I said to Bradley that I've introduced a few of my friends to him, but it doesn't mean I fuck them all. Just some of them. He laughed at that. He's a good guy. I wouldn't mind living with him again. He's a total flirt and quite easy-going, and I know my landlord liked him the first time around, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens and how things go. He may want someone else new in here, who knows?
