From my friend Katy: Ohhh…snazzy…all that redwood in the del came from Humboldt County…I watched Marilyn Monroe film “Some Like it Hot” as a 10 year old there…all my proms were there…good memories…stay cool…Coronado should be good for that…Happy Birthday a week or so and much love…me

Thoughts on the news: I am so frightened for the women and girls in Afghanistan. Their world will soon be back in the Biblical times, far beyond the dark ages. As a child, George took a trip from Pakistan to Afghanistan. He has pictures of the country, and I suggested he post them today.

News: Hati: I watched the films of the collapsed buildings and noted their streets were just like those in Tijuana.

Boosters: After I post this, I have to call my primary care doc and get my blood pressure meds back in order. While I am on the phone, being imuno-compromised, I will ask for a booster shot.

• Himself: OT at 8, fixed the new toilet seat, now out in space.
• Myself: Read until nine today…with a sense of guilt. Quilting after doc call.
• Reading: Bujold.
• Watching: Bake.
