I will post a real update momentarily wanted to get this our of the way first because it’s more fun and I’m less likely to be distracted. So, last entry was nearly a month ago.... so this is what I’ve done in the last month.
Jigglypuff! He looks a bit drunk but I mean honestly who doesn’t do some pregaming before karaoke .... especially when you can’t drive anyway lol
After doing Clefairy (see previous entry) I did Clefable. I’m not happy with the size I’d prefer them all to be much smaller but free patterns are free patterns ya know.....
I’m also not that happy with his face. In general I suck at eyes. I love the wings though.
Lastly, WigglyTuff. So, I am trying to do all the pokemon in the first Generation.... basing it off of what colors I already have and then the evolutions of whatever I landed on after that. Only first gen. so far and Iggybuff is not first gen so this one is done too. This one I’ve personally named Prototype. I could not find a free pattern for Wigglytuff that didn’t look like ..... well.... this is the only free pattern I found and it had me saying I could do better
So, I started my own pattern. I took the body of Clefable and attempted some reduction. I took Jigglypuffs feet and added one stitch and 3 rounds… the arms and ears were completely education based. The horn/hair is a curly cue … a basic thing I hadn’t done yet. I also used Wigglytuff-Prototype as a canvas for Needle felted eyes. I’m hopeful to find some other skill for eyes cause I suck at them. Here’s the result.....
Things to work on before I can make a pattern and sell it are- the white on the ears should go past the black so I need to add 2 rows of white probably.... honestly would still have liked the whole thing to be smaller, maybe the feet should be a tad bigger and stuffed? .... I’m no master crafter.... all together it doesn’t look bad at all. I will make notes and come back to it later. I’d like to move forward.... well after I build them all pokeballs.
I’ve done the ones for Jigglypuff and Clefable but honestly the one fore Clefable is far to big. I totally intend on swapping him out as I make larger pokemon.... Charizard might need it..... wait is he gen 1..... or Beedrill.... or something.
that’s it for crochet… moving on....
