Well, that's interesting in Fresh Jersey Peach

Hm. At lunch today, a friend said, "Did you hear about the mess in Town X?"

Town X being the very place I have the interview mentioned in the previous entry.

She, of course, has no idea about my interview.

She then tells us she has a friend who teaches there and they are working with no contract, it's getting tense with the Board and that a HUGE (over 20) number of teachers up for tenure are about to be let go. And that the board there has a habit of allowing teachers to get right to the point of tenure...and then letting them go so they can hire younger/newer teachers for a lesser salary....

Whoa.

Something I do NOT want to get into.

Then RIGHT AFTER THAT I get an email from my principal setting up my end of year evaluation meeting, with my end of year evaluation attached to the email...and my evaluation is good!

The meeting? Scheduled for the same day as my interview! It's at a much later time, so I can technically take the morning off and go to the interview and still make the meeting....

....but sheesh! It seems pretty clear that God is sending me a message: stay where you are!
