47mm of rain in Back entries: 2013 - 2015

Bit of a short entry today. I'm feeling a bit tired at the moment, despite my going to bed uber-early last night. I was awake at 1am to go to the bathroom, then got back to bed and dozed for the rest of the night. It was a bit cool out, so I stayed in bed until 6am. Before dragging myself out of bed and having breakfast. And listening to the rain and thunder. Apparently, there's been around 47mm of rain today, and several houses had no power for quite a while. Just thinking back to the storm in 2010. Not only power cuts, but supermarkets having to throw away thousands of dollars worth of stock because their back up generators couldn't handle running for so long. Seeing quite a few hail-damaged cars, with dent patterns not unlike the surface of golf balls, on the street.

I also found out today that a couple of acquaintances of mine, who married in 2012, have since split up. The announcement was made by the husband on Facebook today - his wife left him in September of last year. From the sounds of it, she got fed up with his selfishness (not a good thing when you're raising a young child).
