32 degrees and perfect! - 3/1/2005

Sunday was the first day that Luke and I have had off together since we started going out.  We just had our 2 month a few days ago!  So on our day off, we planned to do something together.  We went to the Sunshinbe Coast for the day.  It was SO good!  I haven't been to the coast in so long - not since I used to go on holidays there with my family years ago!  We got up early Sunday morning (after clubbing Saturday night so we were so tired hahahaha) and drove to the train station, and caught the train to Caboolture, transferred onto the Nambour Train, got off at Landsborough Station and caught the bus from there to Maroochydore!  Once we got there, we went shopping for a while and ate lunch because we were starving, and then later on we went to the beach.  The beach was SO great, perfect weather and no bluebottles, there was just a really strong rip, but that was ok!  The water was beautiful.  I got dumped by a few waves but it was all in fun.   Gosh i hate that feeling of having water up your nose hahahah.  I had a great day with Luke, first of all we walked along the calm ocean bit, where there were a heap of people kite surfing.  It looks like so much fun!  It'd be hard tho!!  There were so many beautiful kites!  We walked along the beach and collected shells, which we now have in a bowl on our kitchen table.  Luke went for a beach run in the afternoon and i went a different direction, we met up about an hour later.  We were a bit worried about not getting our last bus home, but we managed to catch it on time :)  It's so great that the translink transport system is now all interconnected, for $13.50 each we got a 17 zone ticket that took on every transport mode we needed for the day!  When we think about it it probably did work out cheaper than using fuel.  Luke and I compared our stories about our runs.  He ran down the beach as far as he could before he ran into some rocks and rock pools, and was telling me about all the adorable hermit crabs, and how he picked a little tiny one up the size of a pin-head and it was agressive cos it didn't like being picked up hahaha, he was so cute imitating the crab.

Finally i have a boyfriend who feels like a boyfriend.  I think my insecurities are a result of inexperience.  Like i still wonder if I should be with him,, but I know this is so much more.   This guy I find attractive, sweet and a lot of fun.  He's gorgeous!  On the bus ride back to Landsborough station, Luke fell asleep.  The poor guy was absolutely exhausted.  I mean I was too, we'd had little sleep and so much walking around all day and dancing like mad the night before.  He fell asleep with his head on my shoulder.  That was so nice.  No-one else on the bus seemed to care, but you could tell they noticed.  We got to the station, and the caboolture train pulled up after about 10 mins.  Luke was stretched out on one of the train station seats haha.  So we caught the train which transferred back onto the Ipswich train and we got off at Carseldine Station and drove home from there.  We got home at about 9:15pm, not to our choice but that was the last train so we had to get home then.  Then the phone rang and it was my friend John and his friend Kristy, so I talked to her for ages.  She is so much fun.  Apparently Katie's thrown away her 17 year friendship as well.  John told me katie took my phone number.  I don't know what i'll say to her if she rings.  Probably just try to get her side of the story.  There has to be a method of this madness.  John's gunna come up this weekend now as he couldnt this past one.

So i had a fantastic weekend.  Worked Saturday, clubbing Saturday night, got up early to go to Coast with my beautiful boyfriend Sunday, collapsed into bed about Midnight Monday and didn't wake up til like 11am.  I felt so bad cos luke asked me if i wanted to play tennis and i musta fell asleep again cos i woke up and he was back cos he'd gone and played by himself.  We're gunna play when I get home from work today as it's my half day, I got 12-5 so hopefully it won't be too bad.  I think our new Perishables manager starts this week, so I'm really hoping he's not too bad!  Wish me luck! love you all!

It sounds like you guys had a wonderful time! I'm so jealous! I love that I know what trains you're talking about too! I went on that train!
