I’m glad the world is opening back up again. And that Liam and I are fully vaxxed (waxed and ready to chillax).

When talking with my mom, my sister found out that what my dad really wanted for Fathers day was for me to come home. So, lovely, Liam sent me home. I flew back with Lauren and the boys (on their flight) and stayed through Tuesday morning. It was nice. I wasn’t obligated to hang at Lauren’s since she’d just been here (I love seeing her and the boys too but it’s nice to just hang with my parents).

Mom and I did some shopping and had lunch at Wendy’s on Saturday, Sunday we were at Laurens for a cookout. I left right after dinner as I was NOT feeling well. Not a headache, just exhausted… part of the new norm. I went back to Mom and Dads and promptly passed out. I woke up a few times (to pee, also, the new norm) but I got some sleep that night and felt better on Monday.

Dad and I hung out in the morning then met mom for lunch at my favorite place, Hosses (think cheaper steakhouse with a salad bar and dessert bar). That was yummy. After that I ran to get new sneakers (yay Plantar Fasciitis) and then we just hung out and ordered pizza for dinner.

Now I’m back and I’ve done my fingerprinting, scheduled my onboarding (where they will give me my drug test paper), had a hair appointment to go back to brown, and I’ve spoken with my neurologist about my headaches. It’s been a productive week.

Liam, today, booked us our first cruise ever. Carnival is REQUIRING vaccinations so we think it’s safe (you have to present your card). It’s 6 nights in July, right before School starts for New Teachers. This means I’m going to be doing a lot of printing, organizing, laminating, and generally getting prepped for the start of the school year. I’m excited about both the cruise and the prep-work.

I want to go into this year better prepared than before and I am having an easier time of it because my brain works (most of the time) so I’m doing things in the right order. And I’m writing everything down so I don’t forget. Which I still do, sometimes, and it’s annoying as all get out.

So, that’s where I am. I’m also really enjoying being back on here. I missed reading more than the little bits I see on Facebook.
