running the booth
next to the caricature artist
at an arts and crafts fair

I keep
bobbing my head
on reflex
as if I was ruining the photo
by having my face
in the shot

but no
no I have to remind myself
there is an actual person there
drawing that baby
and I am ruining
nothing
