The days go by too fast right now. Lots of things just get let go. With our doctor’s service hacked, one easily forgets how slow the world ran when it functioned on paper not computer. He needs to get a referral from our doctor, and I need to get an appointment. They will call me back, they say.
In the meantime, he gets his coffee and I get my bread then breakfast for both of us. Did I say I’m such a slob? After I put together something for lunch and dinner, I leave the kitchen in total chaos. He used to be so good about doing the dishes every night, but I am not. Yes, I wash the clothes then they sit in piles hither and yon. I confess, we end up with piles on every floor.
Today the kitchen has the covers for the white footstool soaking in the sink. I spilled grape juice on them.
Today we are fed, and I am determined to hang up the laundry, and to put the dishes in the dishwasher. Small routines that I will once again remember to do. I hope. I’m determined not to serve grilled cheese sandwiches for both lunch and dinner.
