No Maypole on the beach …. in The odd entries from life …….

May’s first day had two half’s, up to midday it was dull and raining on and off, that meant our agility class was cancelled, then after midday the sky cleared from the sea; and then the afternoon was warm and sunny!

So as we should have been on the agility field, Daughter Lola and myself were on the beach, and there were about a hundred people walking the sand; as the beach is near three miles long their was plenty of room for all!

I left Lola and Daughter to go on in front of me, the car park was four fifths empty when we arrived, while the other two diapered along the three miles of sand, I headed towards the sea and it was a decent walk, as the sea was well out beyond the Chapel Rock; the clear sky was coming in from the sea pushing the grey clouds south.

Ziggy went out latter with Daughter and Sweetheart, the good weather continued through the afternoon, and on to dusk; setting in the north West was a slender new Moon.

Happy May Day, Jamez! Today I got to turn to the May photograph. Whee! Another great work. / Tom read your Easter card on the phone. Thank You! We don't receive many international post cards and it's always a thrill. I asked Tom if it was one of your photos but I guess it isn't. / Your sunny day pictures are well-deserved after all your rain earlier. I need to commend you on that, actually, because I have been a huge grouch about our weather. I know if I'd had your rain last year I would have been downright mean! / Lola well reflects the joy in your heart, doesn't she. Cornwall gave you a good May Day!! / I am sorry to be so absent from here. Still feeling scattered.

the sharpness and clarity of your images are always stunningly impressive. As for your changing weather...its even worse over here...we frequently can get 4 seasons in one day. smiles and hugs p

What gorgeous photos! We have the all-seasons-in-a-couple-of-hours here too. It can be maddening.
