=====================================

Parade Horses

Like horses in a parade
We start out fresh, downhill
With the breeze in our hair.

We turn the corner
And go uphill
Still stepping high
Wind tossing our manes

We get to the turnaround point
Click on our heels
And swing in unison
Back the way we came

This time the sun’s on our backs
The breeze has disappeared
We look for scarce shade
Horses at the end of the parade.

Rules to live by

Rules last a while
Not forever, limited
Like the rest of life

Coffee, milk, pills
Triad of life
Trial of life

To be good, we must do good
Good chases us around the pasture
And guides us eventually to death

An end as good as any other.

Good choices, good chooses
Our fate, as well as each morning
Chooses our day.

Unidentical twins
Next door neighbors
A mile apart
Two stories and -
Not much else
Married together
By incestuous accident
Semi-happy
Semi-old
Lived in
Lived out
Insured against
Fire, wind, neglect
Held together
By Amish carpenters.

And a line from a real poet - Pablo Neruda /Chile
1971 Nobel Prize for literature

The poem - Every day you play

The line - * I want to do to you what spring does to cherry trees.*

A real poem.

=====================================

Bill and Melinda Gates are divorcing? I find that shocking and disappointing.
