Finding Vivian Maier - movie review in keeping it postive

I'd heard about this woman, a nanny, a photographer, an eccentric... somewhere... can't quite remember, maybe on the news (?).

A young man bought a box at an auction, sight unseen. Inside were hundreds, maybe thousands of photographic negatives. WTH? He started scanning them into a photographic website on the Internet. He started to investigate the photographer.

In his meticulous searching, he found families who knew her, found MANY boxes of her stuff - receipts, MORE pictures, some early "selfies" using reflections in glass. She kept pretty much EVERYTHING, and she searched out stuff to save. She was artistic, eccentric, fun to be with, mean, short tempered, reclusive.

The movie is amazing. The amount of work this young man put into putting her life together through interviews, art exhibits, etc. He's had many of her photographs printed, enlarged, exhibited around the world. MANY people have been buying the pictures over the years.

Honestly, I am not sure if I am more amazed at her life or at the amount of work he did to gather it all together.
