No news is good news (?) in At the foot of the hill

Still nothing from my doctor regarding tests I had Friday. I am taking that as a good sign.

My brother-in-law from Idaho called yesterday and said he and his wife are coming thru here on their way to Louisiana to visit their son and attend their granddaughter's high school graduation and should be here Mother's Day. We haven't seen them for about 6 years. (Really? I hadn't realized!) He is Papa's younger brother. [* For my newer readers, Papa and I have been more or less kicked out of the family for a long time now, excluded from all family gatherings, but I digress.] * Papa is insisting that they stay with us. Between you and me, I would rather book the guest apartment for them, but I am not sure or their plans...and the facility is usually booked months in advance, especially on special days...

We have two bedrooms here in our apartment, but the second one doubles as our office. We have two desks with big desk chairs, a daybed, coffee table, bookcase and two end tables along with various house plants, trash cans, shredder and etc. The daybed has a trundle, but there is no floor space. I have figured out that if we move the coffee table, which acts a stand for two printers and other peripherals, can be removed from the room, and the trundle slid over to that wall, although it will block the closet door. Like Papa says, there's no room in the closet for anything anyhow, so what's the big deal? I'm sure they will only be here for one night, and the mattresses are new, and good.

It will be fine.
