Easter cancelled in Stuff

So Easter is cancelled this year for my family, on account of a further 8 cases today. I woke up for a text from my mum saying it’s off. A further case will be announced in tomorrow’s numbers which is apparently in Toowoomba (my sister gained inside information) and that person visited a shopping centre (let’s face it, there’s not much else to do in Toowoomba) so that’s set off a chain of worry within the family. My sister is already in lockdown due to her husband attending a football game on the weekend, and has compromised immunity from the cancer. Ergh. So I guess I’ll be cancelling the hire-car. They are few and far between to get I’m hearing so someone will be thankful for my cancellation I guess. It’ll be inflated hugely though but not really my problem. No-one should be travelling anyway. It just sucks that my grandma now may pass away without me being able to say goodbye. The only solace I have is that I’m nowhere near as close with her as I was with my late grandma on my mother’s side, who passed long ago. Anyway. I feel bad. I’m from a lockdown area so no-one would appreciate me going out there right now anyway. Our lockdown will no doubt be extended, like it was last time.
