I figured my car was just struggling to start because of the -50c weather we had recently. It wrecked all of us and our vehicles. I was going to hold off until a payday to take it in. It was working just fine last week and I forgot about it completely when I decided to use an air compressor to fill my tires which then drained the battery. I didn’t even notice until later in the day when my sister wanted me to help her drop her car off at her friend’s who is going to work on her engine. We loaded my car with her kids and then my car wouldn’t start. When we went to boost it one of my prongs snapped off the cable. Apparently, I was the only one with a booster cable. So she left to drop her car off and I was left with nothing except her kids. I was so flustered. She didn’t need to drop it off at that moment, I could have used her car to run and get a new battery or at the very least some cables.

A friend just swung by this morning and boosted it for me. I don’t have the time or funds to take it to a shop so I’m going to go buy a battery and use the wild wild web to figure out how to change it myself. I just needed this problem to hold off until my first payday. I know my battery was brought up the last time I took my car in so this better fix the problem. My car was always the king of the cold start until this winter. I have no way to get to my appointment tomorrow which is to check on my thyroid. It’s a two-month wait to reschedule. I need my car to get to work on Monday also. There are no busses that early that can get me there. I live right at the edge of the city, there is no bus out here. If my sister’s car wasn’t being serviced right now everything would be fine.

I have my car running right now, my friend couldn’t stick around so we’ll see if it will stay alive long enough today. Naturally, it has to be -36c today. Can’t win. Total first-world problems today. Bev thinks it is the alternator. So we’ll see what happens when I change the battery, I guess. ugh lol
