Iā€™m doing my first gym ā€œworkoutā€ in a mask. I feel itā€™ll be easier just to not gym until this stupid restriction ends. Some people can do it, but itā€™s not for me. I already have to wear it at work (mandatory). This is something I can currently avoid. I think Iā€™ll just go for jogs along the river. Thatā€™ll mean cardio only though but oh well.
Our vaccines arenā€™t available until mid February, and then itā€™ll go to the most vulnerable first. Still not sure which one weā€™re getting, although their arenā€™t enough dosages ordered of the Pfizer one, so I feel itā€™ll be the UK one.
The partner of the poor woman with the UK strain has now (naturally) caught it too, so thatā€™ll add at least another day on with two more venues added to the hotspots, so yay.

Wearing a mask at work hasnā€™t been too bad. Itā€™s just gym itā€™s shit in Summer Queensland weather. Not practical.
I had to deal with my first antivaxxer customer at work on Sunday, so that was fun. He completely ignored the lady handing out complimentary masks at the entrance (mandatory during the three-day lockdown over the weekend) so I called him out on it, ā€œMate, please put a mask on, itā€™s mandatory.ā€
Blahblahblah my right this, my rights that. Then he claimed he had an exemption. I asked him for proof. Of course he didnā€™t have it. I told him, ā€œIf you refuse a mask, you wonā€™t be served.ā€ He then goes, ā€œIā€™d like you to respect my social distance, thanks,ā€ and scurried off. Fuckhead.
I half-considered getting on the PA and asking every other customer who WAS doing the right thing to let this particular customer know how they felt
I only wish the cops had been around to hand him the $1400 fine, but of course they werenā€™t.
Masks are still mandatory indoors for the next 10 days (as I expected) so I will probably have to deal with more than just that guy over the next few weeks.
Cā€™mon CoVid-19, these are the fuckers you should be knocking down, not the people who donā€™t deserve it, and certainly not the vulnerable.
Anyway, doing my part. All I can do.

Phil has been moving his stuff out, so the lounge area is looking quite bare. Reception is meant to approve the new guy today, so just have to wait and see how that goes too. Fingers crossed heā€™ll actually pay rent, otherwise I may have to become a hooker.
