Hired in Current Events

I had my follow-up interview this morning and they offered me the job. It’s not a dream job by any means, it’s just a home improvement store. It’s just to cover a parental leave with a potential opportunity to apply for a permanent position. I can grow my resume there and get a reference. That will come in handy when my term is up. I really owe Bev for this one. She pulled those strings for me.

I like the hours. It’s 6 am-3 pm Monday to Friday. This summer I can aim to start some summer classes. I’ll have to go back to Adult Ed to get some chemistry and math courses. My education from high school is pretty old in general. I assume they will have someone at the Adult Educational centre who can help me with pursuing post-secondary. I really just want to get what I need and get out without having to be indoctrinated with any first-year courses. Naturopathic medicine, agricultural biotechnology and human nutritional sciences. I do have time to sit on that side quest. I don’t want to think too big. When I think I sink. I did have to bite my tongue when I was asked where I saw myself in five years.
