So I finished my second week for my new job. It’s all a huge learning process and curve, but luckily the company is in a stage and growth where I will be able to experience and learn a lot that will be applicable to my business one day.

We were in a team meeting and taking turns talking about what we had been up to for the week. A team member was talking about the project she had been given of creating a business plan for a project that had endless possibilities and a vague scope.

One of the other team members gave her a simple yet very important and probably a hugely overlooked piece of advice. Don’t just think about what will change, think about what will remain the same in the future.

And we were all kind of stopped in our tracks and blown away. It wasn’t that it was a mind blowing revelation, it was that it’s something that we often no longer considering in a fast paced and ever changing world. We seem to always be focusing on what will be the next big thing and what will change our world.

I quickly realised this is something that I will need to consider in the future for my business.
