Herbs in Tales from the kitchen witch

We got a pile of fresh herbs from the store today. SO good. Nothing beats the smell of fresh herbs being crushed. We put some in the sketti and the rest we mixed together for an Italian herb blend. We are drying it out and will be saving it in a canning jar for use till we can get some good ones growing!
Im SO excited for spring. Its nearly spring here in Colorado. Its barely February. But its warming up! We have had some days in the mid 60s already! It does dip back down too. So we need to be careful. However at work we are getting out seeds ( i had to sort them, you know they dont come on those racks haha.... they come in a box… not always alphabetized either!) and we have plenty of soil mulch and fertilizer. We have mushroom fertilizer at work. Ive never heard of it. But worth a shot right? Plus my bunnies are working hard at making fertilizer too. Its already mulched with hay. Here soon ill probably buy some worms to go in it. Turns it to dirt faster! Im going to get some containers going here soon, to get seeds started. We did start bell peppers today :D Red green orange and yellow. And im going to try to find the purple again.
Im planning on thyme oregano parsley cilantro basil rosemary so far. And more im sure lol. Veggies are the peppers, probably jalapeno, i really want to do corn and pumpkins. I know they are water hogs and i live in a desert but im going to try! Who knows. I get excited and plant lots of stuff! Told the husband to get on my garden boxes! We have a 700 dollar gift card for lowes and its itching to be spent on garden boxes!

Spring is coming! ( and so are chickens!)
