Almost a wasted day in A day in the life...

But I managed to salvage a good part of it.

I didn't go to bed until after 2 a.m. I don't know why, but I just wasn't tired. Unfortunately, though, I slept until 2 p.m. this afternoon. I see an all-nighter coming tonight. That's cool...that means I'll go to sleep at a normal time tomorrow night.

So when I got up I ate and watched General Hospital. After that I got dressed in workout clothes and went to Heritage Park. My church is holding a 5k on May 31 as a fundraiser to help people who are trying to raise money so they can go on one of the mission trips this year, so they (the techie people at church) wanted to take some video of about 20 of us jogging so they can make a short clip about the upcoming 5k and show it before each service until the day of the run. I'm gonna be famous!! LOL! Anyway, they took video of us running back and forth, from several different angles, for about 45 minutes (obviously we weren't running the entire time). After we got done I decided to stick around and get in some exercise so I walked 3.5 miles on the walking path. A few others did the same. It was chilly out but it was sunny, so I really enjoyed it. I love it when I can walk or jog outside in the sunshine and the fresh air. Nothing like it!

I re-booked my San Diego trip. I'm flying out on May 22 and coming home on May 27. The unused ticket I had is worth $344. When I looked at round trip flights to and from San Diego they were way more than the $344 ticket I had, so I looked into flying into Los Angeles and I got a round trip flight for EXACTLY $344...woo hoo! LA is about 2 hours away from San Diego so Josh will have to come pick me up, but he said that's not a big deal. I think it'd be fun to spend a night in LA. One of my bucket list items is to go to Beverly Hills and walk down Rodeo Drive. Maybe I'll get to do that on this trip!

My legs and my back are killing me. Yesterday at the gym my dumb ass didn't stretch before working out. I ran on the treadmill for 20 minutes, then walked on it for another 25 with the incline at 10. Then I went and did 50 sit-ups. Today I'm paying for it. That's why today at the park I couldn't do any running....my legs are so sore. But at least I got a good walk in.

I applied for a part-time personal assistant job today. It sounds like it'd be a dream job. Hopefully I'll get a call from the person who posted it, but if I don't, oh well. Whatever is meant to be, will be.

You know, I really do enjoy exercising....it's good for weight loss and my overall health, and REALLY good for my diabetes and my mental status. What's pissing me off about it is that I'm hungry ALL THE TIME now. Seriously, I've always got the munchies now. I went over my calorie allowance for the day because in the wee hours of the morning I was starving and felt like I hadn't eaten all day, so I raided the cupboard and fridge. Anybody got any advice on how to deal with this? Don't tell me to drink more water because I already drink 8-12 glasses a day. There's got to be SOMETHING I can do to get rid of this constant hunger.

Well, I think I'll go put my jammies on and hunker down for a long night of watching TV and coffee drinking.
