19 - What’s your plan for Thanksgiving day?
Well obvi an American wrote these prompts (I mean, let’s face it, the odds were high).
Like Halloween, Thanksgiving isn’t really a thing here. I mean I guess some people might celebrate it but I never have, not know what’s involved. All I know about it is it usually involves a turkey lol 🦃
Therefore my answer is I have zero plans. Exciting stuff!

Do you guys have your own weirdly wrong holiday that you celebrate that could compare? We make thanksgiving all about being thankful but it’s actually a fucked up holiday If you look to its roots. Like I know you all celebrate Australia Day, but do you have any weird ones?

Oh I don't know about thanksgiving's roots!
Well Australia Day is always a debate each year because of it's date - a lot of people call it "Invasion Day" because obviously the Aborigines had been here for thousands of years before we were "discovered". A floating idea has been to move it to "May 8" (because it sounds like "mate" haha).
I can't actually think of any weird holidays we have as a country. As we're part of the Commonwealth, we just have days like "Queens Birthday" and a war holiday (ANZAC Day) but they aren't weird. One state gets a holiday for a horse-race (Melbourne Cup) every November haha but not the rest of us.

Yeah our thanksgiving is basically celebrating how we raped, enslaved, and murdered indigenous people under the term “pioneers.” It’s gross. But turkey is good!
