L has gone away for the weekend, seeing as he has been missing his mates. He organized a night out with his boys, for old time's sake. I heard from him about an hour ago and it's all turned to crap because some of them want to go to strip clubs and he's not interested, so they are telling him he's changed. This whole thing is just ridiculous because 1) OF COURSE he's changed, it's been years since any of you hung out regularly [for the record, I met him 9 years ago and he already didn't even hang out at strip clubs anymore - way back then!!! And secondly for the record, it's not like he HUNG OUT at strip clubs - he went a handful of times!!] and 2) You've changed too! And guess what - THAT'S OKAY! That's NATURAL! That's the cycle of LIFE!!!! Seriously, this whole "you've changed" argument is insanely stale and I sincerely believe it is just their way of having a hissy fit because they are in relationships where they DON'T actually have the freedom to be themselves as often as my man does, and so of course they want this night to be all about going out and seeing titties, where as for my man it's about genuinely chilling out with your mates and having beers.
They aren't mates.
The one who IS a mate, is the one who is there with him, saying, "It's YOUR night, you're the one who travelled all those kms, I'm with ya, mate." And that's Matt. Faithful, ever-present, involved, awesome Matt. It did not surprise me to hear that he was the one still there. I think Chris might've stayed with L too had he not been overseas for work this weekend. But yes, the rest are... just losers. Plain, outright losers, with agendas, and that is just.... azqueroso ["disgusting" - but much worse.]
ANYWHO. I got bitten by my sheep this afternoon. She was frothing at the mouth and after quickly googling what the hell that could mean, I checked to see if she was choking on anything, and as I had my hand in her mouth trying to find something, she bit down HARD! There was blood everywhere, pouring out of my thumb but I'm okay :) I rang the vet after the frothing didn't stop and one side of her completely blew outwards (as though a balloon was in there somewhere) and the vet said basically it means she probably ate something she shouldn't have and there was a build up of gas inside her, causing her to bloat. The thing is, if this is left untreated, she could die quite soon. (!!!!!) Lucky the treatment was easy - give her up to 50ml of any vegetable oil I might have laying around. Would you believe it, I HAPPENED to buy flaxseed oil earlier today, and I had to google to see if it was a vegetable oil (I thought linseed was a nut lol). So yeah! Here I was, pouring flaxseed oil down my sheep's throat while straddling her, with a 5ml syringe I have used for my own children with baby panadol in the earlier days. It's lucky I still even HAD that syringe!!!!!!!!! I cuddled my sheep for ages after that while she calmed down. Poor thing!!!!
[Also, that was my first ever experience as a BUSH VET hahahahahaha!!!!! It was so raw and just... non-feminine-like! Haha! There was nothing glamorous about any of that, but I did it!!!! Not that I'm a glamour queen, but you know, if 2 years ago someone had've said, "2 years from now you will be out in the middle of nowhere, shoving your hand down a choking sheep's mouth," I would've been like.... yeahNAH! You gone coo coo! LOL.]
I had an amazing day with my girls today. I wanted to make pancakes for breakfast, seeing as it's M's first day of school holidays, but decided on pancakes at the café after realising that I had no toppings to put on my homemade pancakes should I make them! So off we went. There were markets on too, so I thought we'd check those out after our café breakfast, but the girls were more interested in the playground at the park where the markets were, so they played there for ages. Then we went to the wildlife park and spent 3 hours there! The first hour and a half was spent playing in the playground LMAO! I played hide'n'seek with them and then I just chilled while they played. I took photos of them caressing the koalas. Then we walked around and saw all sorts of beautiful birds, a baby wombat who kept following us as much as he/she could from inside the enclosure, we saw kangaroos, wallabies, emus, dingos.... what else... deer..... and the ostrich that I took a photo of the first time I went there is now missing an eye. WTF. I asked at the counter at the end what had happened but the chick had no idea. She said she never goes down to that part of the park. She was also only around 13 and I think probably just filling in for the much older lady that is usually there. (Well not 'usually' - I haven't been there all year, haha.) At the end, I also bought my girls a plush toy each. M chose a little pink koala, and L chose - of all the other toys she could've chosen - a snake. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! So so so funny :) She's so random, lol. We did the groceries after that, and I now have photos of L walking around in Coles with a plush snake wrapped comfortable around her neck, lololololololol. We got home and [insert sheep story] and then we had noodles for dinner and watched Lassie for a Girls' Movie Night :)
