home. in 2013

we moved!  our house is amazing, i'm so excited i can barely stand it.   we also completed a professional photo shoot with the little man and had a lovely family birthday gathering where we surprised aaron's brothers with the new house.  so much fun!   and now, most of my stress has started to dissipate as most of the Things i was super stressed about have now come to pass.

birthday memories...   

on joaquin's actual birthday we (stupidly) scheduled his 12-month checkup and forgot that there would be (more) shots!  so the poor babe was having a mostly good day, and then we brought him in and put him in a world of hurt.   oopsies.  we did find out that he is now 30.5 inches and weighs 21.6 lbs.   he's in the 70-something percentile range for height and is average weight.  he has a large cabeza though, and is in the 80-something percentile for head circumference.  so proud.

he's such a funny guy.  i had some wonderful time with him over the past weekend and it was just so cool to see him explore his new digs and realize how much space (and freedom!) he has now.   i really do feel very blessed.

i'm not going to lie though, the past week was highly stressful, very emotional and, at times a complete shitshow.  but!  we survived despite ourselves and now we can enjoy all of our hard work.
