Say it isnt so. The boys are getting to where they dont care or want any of the things i make! Ive got several blankets planned and they were all yeah whatever.
Have we finally reached the age where moms hand made items are no longer awesome and interesting. Really?! Im sad.
I made little girl a hooded cowl again. I havent made any for more then a year. But i made her a sparkly one in yarns she picked out. It will be nice come winter.
I was wanting to make my boys some blankets too. Like the last few are claimed. The blue purple one, L loves. So he can have that if he wants. The teal brown one everyone loves lol. Me too. I love those colors together. The one im finishing is for my husband its purples blues and greens.
The next one i want to make is this one. Mind you this is NOT my photo. This pattern is in testing and will be out next month. Same designer of my Pandemic ( green and purple) Its called self checks and i feel its good for boys. I like her color technique with two different colors going opposite one another.
Ive gotten some messages on if i sell my blankets. Yes im willing to sell my blankets. They arent cheap. They take me a month or more to make and a lot of materials. Somewhere in the 300 plus range for these large blankets. Which is why i mostly make them for my family.
Now if my teenager could tell me one he liked… But i also feel like it may not be something he wants to cart around his entire life either. I made him a baby blanket, somewhere. Its gone now. Which is sad. So is little girls newborn blanket. Co’s blanket is mostly done. It did come with me haha. Now that he is almost 6 ft tall and its too small. See my kids arent tiny little things. They need big blankets and these are big square blankets. I dont know… Maybe i just make some and see if anyone claims them…
I plan on getting a wooden ladder and leaning it against the wall in the living room. Its a big vaulted room, so a large ladder and putting my blankets up the rungs on the ladder. So that the work i put into them can be displayed and maybe appreciated? so few appreciate hand mades.... Maybe ill take a break after i finish the texture blanket for my husband, and make a fairy dress for little girl. I just feel guilty that she gets things and the boys dont.... Lo is 9 and the only one who ever really wants things. Especially seeing they know how to use my knitting machine and like to make their own hats now too.
Ok whiny moment over and ill go back to T’s blanket.
