I'm doing alright. I had a horrific day last week where I was a complete emotional basket-case for no reason at all. I would put it down to the male version of being on my rags lol. I treated my friends like crap and even when they came around to my house, I pretended I wasn't here. I just wanted, I just needed, to be left alone. They were lovely about it though, just texting me that they'd be there when I was ready. I want to thank Kylie for being a sweetheart too.
But I've come good. In fact, I've been real good. My downers don't happen all that often, really. I live a pretty carefree, cruisey lifestyle. The only thing I have to compromise on because of my lifestyle is a lack of money, but I don't feel I'm too careless with that either. I still have just over $800 to pay off the credit card, so my immediate goal is to get rid of that first, even though it means I have to give up on doing some fun social things for a while.
Vish and his boyfriend have been staying in their Spring Hill apartment the past week, whilst they are fixing up a few things, so I only have to walk home from there when they've invited me over. They've considered moving there themselves, but I don't think they will as it is a little small for Vish's liking. Plus it was bought as an investment, so why waste that?
I wish I knew the first thing about property and all that. I'm 30 and still feel like I'll never own my own place haha. Not too worried though, but I'd be lying if I didn't think it'd be cool one day.
Vish, his boyfriend and I all went to the Gasworks to grab a coffee and a meal, as it's really nice there and they hadn't been there. I have a few times. We ate at Buzz, but it was raining so the weather wasn't the greatest. I did like the idea of them offering picnic blankets to customers to dine out on the grass, obviously on sunnier days. Vish and his boyfriend ended up having a HUGE domestic. I've witnessed it a few times, but this time was a little more intense than usual, including Vish's boyfriend telling Vish to "fuck off then!", right in the middle of the crowded cafe lol. I just tried to tune myself out, as I always do when they fight.
My landlord sent me an email blasting me for opening his registered mail which I signed for. I knew exactly what it was when I signed for it, since that council guy was here inspecting the place and measuring the depth of our ponds. So what I did was I opened it (because it said it was from the council regulation commission), took photos of each page and sent it to my landlord (as he's in London), as the document said he had 20 days to contact them or else they would take further action.
He got up me asking "Why did you open it? DON'T SIGN FOR ANYTHING!"
Oh gee, I dunno! Maybe I thought I'd prevent you from getting a fucking fine, or worse??
Couldn't fucking believe it. The sheer disrespect. I'm not stupid and I can understand both sides of the situation, but because I was here when that council guy was when Ayden gave him permission to enter the premises and he was taking photos of everything as evidence etc, when that letter arrived, I knew what it was about without even needing to open it, and it's not like my landlord could just fly back from London on the spot to deal with it.
So the point is, at least he knew! And I let him know on Day 1 so he has 20 days.
So I bitched about it on facebook as I was pretty pissed off. It seemed to be a final straw in a list of bullshit he's put me through due to his unrequited love toward Ayden.
Yesterday, I get an email from him. An APOLOGY email. I could not believe it. He apologized for putting me through this and said he's going to write to the council explaining his situation. See how hard was that? Rather than getting defensive that I'm trying to salvage damage control caused by Ayden. Fuck!
I'm doing alright. I haven't written about my sex life in a while, but it's been happening. I met up with a guy I've been chatting to for a while on the weekend, and he actually caught a CAB over here at 2am. I don't like when guys do that, as you never know who you're going to meet and it's such a waste of money. But we've chatted a bit in the past and he only wanted to come over for cuddles, although, of course we did a lot more than that. He was such a lovely guy! Only 21 though, so quite a bit younger than me. I had to go to work the next night, but he pretty much stayed here all day. The new housemate came around to get his key, and was surprised I'd answered the door in just underwear, but I didn't really have a reason to put clothes on all day with that guy over. So I hoped I didn't put him off. I quickly showed him how to use the key and went back inside. As we left the house, I directed him where to go to get home, and he said it'd be awesome to catch up again. It was somewhat of an awkward goodbye, but not overly. I agreed. We'd both had a good time and it would be cool to hang out with him again. A real lovely and good-looking fella. I don't like to think of it as anything more than that. Living in the moment just seems to really work for me and makes me happy. It's when there's expectations that things seem to go pear-shaped.
The new housemate seems pretty cool, although I've been working most nights and we haven't actually really seen much of each other! I saw him once yesterday and asked if he'd met Bradley, which he had. Bradley moves out this weekend, so it'll just be the two of us for a while. I do hope to get to know him. He seems pretty cool and has had a girlfriend or two over when I've come home from work, but most of the time I've been that tired from my shift that I've just passed out, and I can sleep through a bomb going off. So I get the feeling he's a bit of a party animal :) As long as he's nice, I'll like him.
