Oh shit... in Adventures in paradise

Ayden and Aiden are gone. For good. I'm so glad. Both of them were not good for this house. Ayden had such an effect on this house that I had to keep reminding myself that I've lived here four times as long as he ever did. It wasn't without final drama though. Of course, that day of all days, we had a visit from a council worker about our security screens. It must be a legal requirement to have them or something like that, and one window is missing one, so he was here to inspect it. So before they can enter, they have to recite some legal thing before they can enter the premises and receive permission to enter the premises (much like a vampire).
Ayden, of course, let him in. So this guy did his thing but not only that, Ayden told him about the ponds in the backyard and mentioned that we have a nearby park where children play, and the ponds are only backyard ponds, but it was enough for the council worker to grab a nearby stick and measure the depth of both the ponds. "Fuckin hell" I was thinking to myself.

Of course I had to tell my landlord what had happened. Of course he was furious. Ayden also gave the council guy my landlord's overseas number, which he never wanted them to have, for whatever reason.

Now that both of the twink housemates are out of here, my landlord tells me that he is only going to rent out Ayden's old room, and has asked me to basically swap everything between the vacant rooms! The reason behind this is that he wants to "Completely delete everything to do with that cunt from my life." (obviously meaning Ayden). So he's going to sell everything that he bought from him. It's going to sit in the vacant room. Although my current housemate (there's just the two of us now) is very keen on that room, so hopefully he can have it. I told him to run it by our landlord, as I don't see why he wouldn't be able to have it.

Yeah! So this is fun for me! Beats me how the fuck I am meant to move the double bed from Aiden's old room into the front room. There's no way it'll fit unless I can dismantle it.

So Ayden came back to collect the last of his stuff. I've told him I'm trying to get him his bond back, but he's made it pretty much impossible. I don't even think Aiden will get his bond back, as he's all moved out and he hasn't returned either of the keys. I'm trying to be nice and let him know he just has to return them, but a part of me doesn't really care either. He never made an effort to be a decent housemate toward me (despite Ayden's bullshit). Ayden on the other hand doesn't have a chance of getting his back.

That's when he decided to do the unthinkable.

He went upstairs and ripped the plant from the bathroom, taking the pot with him. I need to explain that this is a plant that has been nurtured for years. I had to water it every day when I was in the upstairs room. The upstairs housemates have always had to keep it alive. My landlord is very big on astronomy and sentimental things. That plant was in his houses when he was renting, and the WHOLE REASON this house EXISTS is because that plant needed a home. I shit you not. So, seeing Ayden rip the plant (which had grown right around the bathroom walls) from it's main branch and take the pot, I was flabbergasted. There was no stopping him. We all know what he's like. He goes "I'm just holding it hostage until I get my bond back."

I'm not even game enough to tell my landlord. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets on the plane in Heathrow and flies back to cut out Ayden's Jugluar at this point, when he finds out. Ayden reckons he left him a voicemail. Fuck.

And the stupid thing is, it really does feel like the heart has been ripped from this house without the plant here. It's been the only real stable thing since I moved in here. Of course, the green leaves all around the bathroom will die now, as they aren't getting nutrients.

So anyway, enough of the drama. He has finally left the house. Both of them (my landlord and Ayden) reckon they are going to kill each other if they ever see each other out clubbing again, which, let's face it, is bound to occur.

As for me, I have to return to work tonight! It will be a change in itself, as according to the online rosters, they have made Emma the 2IC manager. I still have one day of holidays left, so I was surprised when I got a text from my manager last night asking me if I can do a shift tonight. I'm being called in a day early when I'm still on my holidays! Is that even legal?? Either way, I said I'd do it. I spent way too much on my holidays (doesn't everyone?) and I need to be sensible and get my finances back under control.

I finally have my new laptop and I also got myself a new phone! So I've got the technology under control haha. I just now have one more expensive thing to renew, and that will be my gym membership. For the past month or so, I've just been exercising at home using what I can, which is basically my push-up bars and I just inflated my exercise ball, so I'm back into that as well.
Still, it doesn't feel anywhere NEAR like going to the gym does, as that's somewhat of a social thing as well, but man it is so much cheaper to do it this way. I still have my body I like, but it's definitely not as good as it could be. I guess everyone probably thinks that about their bodies though. I'll miss that about Aiden. His dedication to gym was very inspiring! I just hate, HATE, that I never got to know what was ever in that strange head of his.

I'm a little bit nervous about going back to work tonight after a month off! I mean, I doubt much has changed, but it's almost like the first day of work in a new job again. Stupid, I know...
