first impressions D&D and GURPS in Second 1st

So, it’s been a few days....

We had someone come out to quote on the gutters.... she did amazing… and we are getting our gutters done today. It’s almost twice the cost as one of the other guys but we are going with all new gutters.... they are going to fix the fascia board.... in the places it needs fixed.... transferable 40 year warranty and the guard thing.... with the guarantee that we will never have to get up there to clean it out.... and financed 100% same as cash for 12 months… with the loan company we just got rid of lol.... We have about 80% of the cost already… I’m gonna put a big chunk on it when we get the papers and I get the online account started. They should be showing any second......

We went to T’s ..... Honestly I don’t know his name.... that’s what he wants to be called. He works with Rocky. He’s been playing table top RPG’s since he was 11 .... his figure collection is at least $5,000 in lead cast figures.... most not painted....
We started some characters for a GURPS game.... Gurps is a dice rolling system that you can apply to any setting. The actual game I’m a bit worried about. It’s in some apocalyptic setting in which our characters were slaves but the alien race that were our masters have abandoned the planet. Rocky and I have named our characters but I couldn’t tell you what they were right this second.... I can’t remember.... and we battled once.... I’ve chosen a fighter style for this game because apparently no one else did. We’ve just teleported into a cave and were attacked by 3 large spiders. I went with however T guided me and came to some understanding of how we are to play.... BUT.... I was attacking spiders using karate and he said that he was actually basing how well I’d do it on his previous real life experience with karate. He’d convinced me that it would take less effort to punch.... than to kick.... HOW? really … let’s say that you were kicking a cat… not that I’d kick a cat but would it be easier to kick it or punch it.

We are going to be starting a 5e D&D campaign on Monday! He’s not at all familiar but had picked up a starter set. We will be running some kinda one shot with some pre-made characters.... then making our own. I’ll take over what I’ve got to try to help guide with what I know.... but.... he seriously lives for this stuff so I’m sure he’s spending the week reading his starter set.

Shelby, Luke and Tori are the other people who are players. Tori is currently in school and will be unable to attend for a couple more weeks. I guess her classes clash with game time for now. Shelby gets off work at 4 and will be there just after that and Luke.... well Luke seems like he lives in a close apartment and hangs there all the time lol. Shelby and Luke were real helpful in walking me through what to do. Luke talks low :( so I’ll likely not hear 1/2 the stuff he says.... he was sitting right next to me.... I told them that I’m deaf in that ear with a tattoo as a reminder .... so we will see how that progresses. … Shelby will have to work so she will need to leave by about 8.... T breathes to DM so he said if we’d want to start another game earlier in the day that we break from before 4 then let him know. .... I’d like to play a bit of these other games first :)

I’ve started listing things again. I’d gotten a pallet back in the beginning of March?....and just haven’t messed with it because 1) it felt like a bunch of junk. Mike kinda threw together a pallet from a bunch of junky pallets.... from what I could see anyways..... 2)COVID had me not wanting to do meet ups .... so why list anything at all. Now… I know it’s not over and honestly I still don’t want to meet people but.... I need to get this stuff listed and get back into some kinda normal. 3)lazy.... obviously working on that lol....

Anyway, I’m listing 5 items a day..... I’ve listed 3 days now and sold about half the items I’d listed.... so I honestly don’t feel that reselling has suffered any from COVID at this point..... but I don’t regret not doing it for the last couple months either....

Sammy called yesterday. He will be able to move into the dorm August 5th..... but has to be out of his apartment by July 31st. He’d also asked to use the van .... and to stay a week.... we’d previously talked about that so yeah I mean a week! that’s great! By the time he ticks Rocky off it will be time to move back out.... and hopefully he won’t feel the need to move the furniture knowing he’s moving back out..... My part will be to move the big items we have stored in there out and my diamond painting stuff.... that will be on hold for a week.

Haven’t heard from work. I thought we’d be going back tomorrow because they had said “mid-June” but with no word I now have to assume the 19th?.... I have to be careful not to post stuff on FB on the weekends because of the lie I told Destiny..... but that’s honestly not that hard. This should be the last weekend anyways.... A and B area are already working.
