Happy Birthday Aaron! in In the Meadow

Happy 15th Birthday Aaron! I cannot believe that my baby boy is fifteen. I remember when he was a newborn. We would sit outside in the evenings and he loved listening to all the summer sounds. When he was about a year old we found some board books at a second hand book store. Aaron loved these books. They became his favorite books all through preschool. Aaron is a great reader. When he was in elementary school, he read all the Harry Potter books.

In middle school he was on the school robotics team. They designed a really cool robot to move items around and adjust to each different item. He started running and was on the middle school track team. He has continued with running in high school. This year he was on the cross-country and indoor track teams. He has been learning to play chess. Since the quarantine started he has been playing chess on the computer.

Aaron likes to cook. The other night he made a healthy version of Shepard’s Pie that he got from an online recipe. It was really good. He has become quite knowledgeable about plants and when we go walking in the woods he can identify many of the plants.

I am curious to see who Aaron becomes once the twins are in college. I am looking forward to seeing his own personality shine through.

We are having spaghetti with meatballs for his birthday dinner. Afterward, we will have a cake.
