An Interesting Change in Book Seven: Reconstruction 2020

So… things are still going on? Like… stuff and junk.

I was feeling bad that I expect myself to be back at the office and haven’t been doing that. I mean… the rest of the office is doing so. Of course, last week we had another 3 confirmed COVID cases so our county is in the middle of its viral explosion. So… arguably, it makes a damned bit of sense for me to be staying at home. But… in a land where everyone is running towards the sawblades, sometimes you need to join the crowd.

That being said… today was supposed to be the second day of Spring Training. In other years, I would have driven to Okoboji yesterday; had a big breakfast at a public high school this morning; and be sitting through lectures on law updates and best practice models. So instead of that? I’m watching the slide shows and hearing the webinar version of the same lectures. So… no travel, no lake, no “craft services”. Another example of what has gone on through COVID. “We’ve cancelled the fun; but the work remains.”

You may notice that I haven’t been speaking a lot here lately. There is nothing new and any time there is something new this year, it seems, the new is merely “an additional or different type of bad.”

I’m having a harder time sleeping. I mean… nightmares are a factor but they aren’t the only reason. It also wraps up into my physical pain and feeling of “limbo” in the air.
