insurance in Weight Loss Surgery

So I called my doc and my local urgent care to get my records that show my weights on them. Will has a job doc that he has to get his records from, his will probably be more complete than my sporadic notes.
We’re doing this because someone in the bariatric FB group said the insurance people want records from 5 years back. I don’t think i have that but it does show a few years so that’s something.
I’m hoping that this will speed up the process of getting the surgery and I won’t have to do a year of dieting beforehand just to prove that I can’t lose weight on my own.
I think it would be kinda common that an obese lady doesn’t want to go to the doctor and might not have stringent weight records. But I don’t know how strict my insurance agents are gonna be about the fact that I may have 3 years of records instead of 5.
I think I have doctor note from 2017 and 2019 and then I have a weight history from the last time I was at WW where I actually GAINED weight. All good info in the fight to get approved and have the surgery covered.
So that I planned to bring with me to our first weight loss consultation. They didn’t tell me I had to bring that but I am.
In other news, I guess the fight between me and Will is over. Just kinda dissolved without resolution.
I didn’t have to drive him back to pick up his car from the oil change place so he didn’t have to face my filthy care or my risky driving skills.
And, due to work, he didn’t come home to sleep so he didn’t risk getting sprayed in the face or my “bad attitude” regarding the cats.
I think ever since I started talking about weight loss surgery there’s been a tension that maybe will lift once we get past the first doctor visit.
Nothing really new in my sister’s life. I think things between her and hubby have quieted since he pushed her and threw the brush at her.
Also, after all that he was playing rough with Emma and he hit her loose tooth on his knee which really hurt her and also made the tooth turn gray and everyone was freaked out and he felt really bad about it. They did a zoom call with the dentist who said it was ok, it will still fall out on it’s own but just make sure they keep it extra clean so no infections develop.
And she did get to talk to a doctor about her stomach issues. I guess it was a zoom call and she was prescribed something but it did work for pain but made her break out in an itchy rash all over her body so she can’t take it anymore.
But the process has taken so long that she’s due for her next bc shot soon and that should make her feel a lot better.
The only reason we believe all her symptoms started coming back is because her bc shot started to run out earlier than it’s supposed to and they wouldn’t give her the shot early.
In other news the Rita’s ice in my town opened and the line was down the block. No one was really social distancing and not everyone had a mask. I was surprised at the crowd and how unsafe it looked.
I don’t care about ice, I care about ice cream! They have custard, which is OK but their main product is the flavored ice.
