Since it’s been wicked fucking cold out for much of this winter I have been spending my time watching older series on Showtime On Demand. Went through Dexter, Homeland, Shameless and now Nurse Jackie. Since Nurse Jackie is only ½ hour I’d watch 3-4 a night sometimes. After each episode was over I’d have to scroll through the On Demand again to get to the next one. While doing this they have a lady talking about upcoming shows and such that will soon be available On Demand. The one they keep advertising is a reality show about Lindsay Lohen. Are you serious? Really. Can we please just stop with these fuckin awful shows. Who came up with this, beating a dead horse, idea? I understand that not every show is going to be as good as “Breaking Bad” or “The Walking Dead” or even “Nurse Jackie” but this seem like they just gave up. I get that it’s easy, she probably really needs the money. Apparently being an “actress” is a little too taxing for her. It would be really cool if they only shoot 7 episodes because at the end of the seventh the camera pulls away slowly from her disease ridden, lifeless body in a back alley behind a 7-11 with a needle still sticking out of her arm as the screen slowly fades to black.

Wow, I’m actually a little worried about how dark I went with that.

Anyway, this weekend my family is having the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration! Since none of us are all that Irish (I mean we are a little bit Irish) it’s mostly an excuse to drink green beer and eat a metric ton of Corned Beef Brisket. That covers 2 of my top 3 favorite things to do. So that’s something to look forward to and, at least according to the calendar, Spring is just around the corner.

I hope everyone has a great weekend, except for that person who came up with the idea (if you can that an idea) of the Lindsay Lohen show.
