MAKEOVERS in Postcards 4

Just before lunch time, we headed out into the brave new world. There was a line heading into the bakery. There was another line outside Target, and there was security directing traffic. Right inside the door was a sign listing the most wanted items. Did they have hand sanitizer….yes.

Right in the middle of this pandemic, Target is remodeling itself into a JC Penneys or Macys. In the months I have been shut away, everything is changing. Most everyone wore their masks. Everyone carried a cell phone. Even houses changed colors while I was gone. This store that carries everything, seemed to carry vastly less.

Spring colors everywhere too. Pastille versions of all my favorites. Gentle terra cotta, for instance. Very odd. The same thing could be said for the greyed olives. One day when I feel rich, I will go get a few items. Perhaps I will feel upgraded.
