Closer to home in Bittersweet

Welp. The first case of corona hit closer to home. At least that we are aware. Our local walmart which is the closest shopping center. An employee is positive. It feels a tiny bit more real. The state has 7K cases. But this is the closest one we know of. Makes the world feel a bit more closed in.

Yesterday we did our monthly stock pile. We had to get our groceries. Small families can go for longer stretches if they get a lot. Ours even with a lot it dosent last.... 14 people go through a lot of groceries. We did 200 at costco, 400 at sams, 200 at walmart. And we are well stocked. We can honestly go a full month with only needing to go get milk and other small things we run out of. Frankly ice cream once a week IS essential in this family. When you start taking away those little things that bring sanity. you get so many issues. its why people are killing themselves in isolation. Our non stop stimulated brains cant handle it… So yeah we do an ice cream and milk run every week. Every day i take my gloved and masked self up to the junior high and get the free lunches. They told me any child qualified even if we arent in the district. So im going down and requesting 7 for the kids. I asked if i could stop bringing the children and they said yes! Ive been through the line enough they know my car. The huge mommobile with Alaska plates lol.

Ill be seeing if we cant order some things online that we go to. Prime pantry and all that. Things like the carbonated sugar water i live on and coffee can come on amazon lol.

Tomorrow is the husbands birthday… Im making him his fav cake other then coldstone. Seeing i dont think they are open. So im going to make his second favorite. Vanilla cake with strawberry jello, topped with whipped cream and marshmallows. Its something right? I feel bad that im not getting him anything… But yeah. What can i do. Im also frustrated because he didnt send any money to me in a while so i dont actually have any money to spend.

Its fine… Its just being stuck is hard…

I finished up a half dozen more masks today, Including the tiniest two elsa masks for missy girl. She dosent go anywhere, But she has one. But i have a spare elsa now for some other little girl who may HAVE to go out.
