At approximately 3:30 a.m. I woke up gasping for air. Got super scared that I got the COVID.
Nope.
Nala friggin shredded my CPAP power chord!! Then… ran to her dog bed! That’s the first time I have seen her use her dog bed in months!! So, I am equally SUPER pissed (god damned chord) and intrigued (dog bed).
Bad dog!

She needs to be crate trained until she’s well behaved enough to be trusted out at night. Safer for you and for her!!

Hope you can get a new chord quickly and i agree with others maybe crate training is for the best.

Aww poor pup. Reminds me of my mom’s dog, who tries sooo hard to be a good dog but keeps failing.

When I was first diagnosed with sleep apnea I would remove the mask in the middle of the night and I had no memory of doing so. I had old baseboard heaters in my house at that time and when I threw it down, the hose landed on the heater, in the middle of winter, and it melted.
Then when I finally got out of the bad habit of removing the mask, our old family kitten had attacked the tube. I woke up to her doing it and shoo'd her away but I couldn't understand why the pressure kept getting so high during the night to where I couldn't wear it because it felt like the machine was trying to blow me away via my nose. Turned out that the cats claws had put tiny holes into the tubing.
I'm thankful I no longer have sleep apnea, the surgery helped to get me to a healthier weight and therefore I didn't stop breathing during sleep anymore, but the machine almost became a comfort to me. It was hard adjusting to sleeping without it. I used to be so fearful when I would take it off without knowing or fall asleep reading and not using it. It kind of became my safety blanket. Not to mention I felt refreshed with very little sleep. Now I feel like I need to get, at minimum, 9 hours of sleep to feel refreshed.
Are you able to get supplies for your machine locally? I hope you're able to get it replaced soon. I know the "bad girl" mentality but I also have a soft heart. I'm not sure I could handle crate training and the crying that goes with that..but that's probably why it's good I'm not a dog owner, lol.
