Lovely phrase from the Gwyneth Paltrow discussion of her split with Chris Martin. It has all kinds of connotations. The best thing is the opposite - unconscious coupling - when the man is drunk but capable and the woman is willing - I must admit a little experience in this area

I think there's rather a lot more of unconscious coupling going on in most parts of the world, than the other!
