Hearing someone speak of a person
as they were the love of their life
when you know that person
didn't feel the same way at all
when they say that's their ex
and you know the other person
was just using them for sex
brother,
that's The Saddest Thing.

But
but but but sometimes you gotta
ignore that feeling in your gut
and just get yourself together
instead of helping others
so that you can be strong enough
to help out others later.

And
and and and making plans
will break your heart every single time
and twice on Sundays
so live ahead
and move forward in your life instead.

but but but as long as there is life
there is hope I'll tell you what
as long as you are both breathing
there are always takebacksies

and and and mistakes have been made
because of cowardice on shifting sands
mistakes will be undone with courage
nothing is fucked
