Quarantine in In My World

Change is inevitable and necessary but one, huge, collective, global change…? That is a bit much to handle.
But honestly? I’m loving the free time. For the first time in my 25 years, I have time, energy, and the means to start and finish all my projects.
In quarantine I have:
- deep cleaned the entire dog kennel single handedly
- gotten the big dogs 95% house trained (it was a lot easier than I anticipated)
- gotten the big dogs groomed
- gotten all the dogs chewies they like! (That’s huge haha)
- gotten 1 of my 3 unfixed cats fixed. (The other two go on monday)
- showered every day for 5 (today will be 6) days in a row (something I’ve never done in my 25 years)
- planted a large amount of seeds (like… if they all take I will have more vegetables than my family could ever eat in one summer)
- planted a lot of flower seeds (buds to be planted soon)
- hoed two long spots in my yard; one for carrots, one for extra sunflower seeds
- continued physical therapy
- have an almost normal sleep schedule
- gotten and kept in touch with someone who I usually only talk to every few months
- kept my nanny kid job
- completed training for my other job
- gone on 2 long walks (so far)
My mental health is actually really good for the most part. I’ve had a couple of low, stir-crazy days but overall I am well.
Who would have thought that being stuck at home would be such a good thing for me?
I am so thankful to have this time to work on me and get done things that have been on my to do list for ages.
That said, I’ve thought almost non-stop about all those with COVID-19 and all those at risk of getting it and I sincerely hope this passes quickly. I am lucky in that I am in a place where I can get by in a way others arent so lucky.
Still on my list I have:
- learn to sew on a sewing machine
- build something
- draw more
- write more
- lose a little more weight
- establish better routines
- establish a good sleep routine
- pay off my house in animal crossing
- catch up on at least 1 of my shows
- use my prismacolor pencils
- work on my spanish
- work on my sign language
- write a master to do list
- reinvent myself
- be a better teacher
- get our room reorganized and set up
- finish this list
These are the goals I thought of, not just for quarantine but for life.
