You're Afraid to See in Poetry

I framed the words
Of my previous lives
So you know
That I’m not telling
This story blind
The echo is done
The present is here
And now I need to be clear

As I journeyed
Through to my present years
I witnessed the deception
Change in multiple ways
And no one seems to notice
The added reflection
And the vanity of deception

You lookup
At the Sun and Moon
Repeat their cycles
And believe
It is all the same
Until the clock
Strikes 13
And you go insane
Because the plans changed

When I was born
Everything was okay
Until 17 came
Seeking the truth
Of my name
So here I stand
For you to see
Prepare yourself
For what you will read
Because the truth
Is still something
You’re afraid to see
